About a week ago, I went to an "Exploring Educational Excellence" conference in Jacksonville, Florida. I was invited to discuss the structure of different college universities. There were representatives from Rice, Cornell, Columbia ( where i wanna go), Brown, and Chicago Universities. It was very informative, and made me second guess my current college choice...Columbia. It's still a great college, but doesn't accept AP classes as college credit as some of the other colleges do. Plus, one of the others...can't think of it right now...said that you are NOT required to take any "core" classes your freshman year! You can start college immediately with classes that pertain to your major, and nothing else...I've got alot of thinkin to do....maybe Columbia isn't right for me....
